About the Team ACCEL Schools is hiring a highly qualified 3rd Grade Teacher at Sheffield Academy in Sheffield, Ohio. Dedicated to delivering a superior education, we seek passionate teachers committed to:

Founded in 2022, Sheffield Academy is a public charter school for K–8th grade, uniquely combining competitive sports training with accredited academics. The school day includes:
- Morning focus on core academic subjects
- Afternoons dedicated to fitness, special interests, competitive sports, and extracurriculars

About the Opportunity
Key Responsibilities The 3rd Grade Teacher will ensure academic and social-emotional student growth through:
- Preparing and delivering dynamic lesson plans with adaptability throughout the school year
- Differentiating instruction to support diverse learner needs
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records of student progress and development
- Applying research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction
- Managing student behavior and fostering a supportive learning environment
- Implementing a curriculum that respects the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of students
- Upholding school-wide culture expectations and norms
- Collaborating with families to communicate student academic and social-emotional progress
- Integrating technology skills into daily teaching
- Participating in planning and leading non-instructional activities as needed
- Collaborating with colleagues and contributing to a cohesive school community

About You
Essential Requirements Must possess and maintain:
- Active, current Ohio teaching license in an appropriate content area
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field
- High comfort level in a growth-focused coaching environment, including:
- Frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information discreetly
- Capacity to safely supervise students across school settings (classroom, playground, cafeteria, etc.)
- Eligibility to pass federal and state criminal background checks
- Experience working in an urban environment (preferred)

Salary Range: $41,000 – $50,500 Adjustments based on:
