3rd Line Support Engineer - Secure Cloud, Microsoft, DV Cleared

Exciting 12-Month Contract Role: UKIC DV Cleared Support Engineer

A critical 12-month contract opportunity is available for a Secure Cloud Support Engineer with UKIC DV Clearance to bolster the resilience, security, and functionality of critical national infrastructure systems.

About the Role

This role focuses on the design, development, and maintenance of secure cloud-based systems, ensuring they remain robust, secure, and fit for purpose. You will play a key role in supporting mission-critical operations while reducing vulnerabilities.

A strong candidate will thrive in a hands-on environment with opportunities to grow expertise in secure cloud solutions. This is a highly specialised position requiring both technical depth and alignment with national security standards.

Purpose

To design, develop, and maintain secure cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations while upholding robust security protocols.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the design, development, and secure deployment of cloud-based systems
  • Implementing and troubleshooting secured Microsoft environments
  • Third-line and fourth-line support, including escalation management and root cause analysis
  • Developing and maintaining PowerShell automation scripts to streamline operations
  • Creating and managing MECM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager) task sequences for software builds and app deployment
  • Packaging and deploying applications to desktop environments
  • Managing incident escalations and их resolution
  • Collaborating with teams to improve security posture and compliance
  • Liaising with stakeholders to ensure operational continuity
  • Assisting with group policy management and firewall configurations

Requirements

Essential

✅ Active UKIC DV Clearance (mandatory) ✅ 3rd-line and 4th-line support experience with strong troubleshooting skills ✅ Deep expertise in Microsoft systems, including:

  • Active Directory, Azure, and PowerShell scripting
  • MECM (SCCM) configuration management for software deployment
  • Application packaging and desktop deployments ✅ Incident management and effectively liaising with stakeholders

Desirable

🔹 ** experience in Group Policy Management** 🔹 Firewall administration (e.g., Palo Alto, Check Point, Windows Firewall) 🔹 Familiarity with editorial platforms or cybersecurity frameworks (NIS2, ISO 27001)
