7.5 T Lorry Driver
Location: Harlow Bros Derby, Coleman Street, Allenton, Derby, Derbyshire, DE24 8NH
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours of Work: 44.5 Hours per week to be worked flexibly between 7.30am and 5pm Monday to Friday, times to be agreed with line manager, with a 30-minute lunch break and a minimum of 26 Saturday mornings per year from 8am to 12pm, generally worked on alternate weekends.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated 7.5T Driver to join our team in Derby. You will be part of the high standard of service we offer to our customers, the purpose of this role is to deliver goods from the branch to customers at a variety of destinations in and around the branch’s surrounding area on a 7.5t Lorry or a Pickup truck
What you’ll be doing as a 7.5t Driver:
You will travel alone without on-vehicle mechanical offload devices You will be expected to promote the company in a positive light through a courteous, helpful, and professional approach to customers To focus on load security & highway laws and drive safely and lawfully To drive efficiently to delivery destinations and in reasonable time, working to achieve the expected daily number of deliveries as appropriate To supervise the offload of goods at the destination manually yourself and/or with onsite personnel, and/or onsite personnel-operated plant To provide a prompt, polite, helpful, and professional service to customers at the delivery destination, always promoting a positive company image To drive efficiently to delivery destinations and in reasonable time, working to achieve the expected daily number of deliveries as appropriate

Your Skills:
Full Class 2 Licence CPC Card To focus on load security & highway laws and drive safely and lawfully To supervise the offload of goods at the destination manually yourself and/or with onsite personnel, and/or onsite personnel-operated plant To provide a prompt, polite, helpful, and professional service to customers at the delivery destination, always promoting a positive company image Timber knowledge (Desirable not essential) Manual Handling Training (Desirable not essential)
