7.5 Tonne Driver – Westcott

About The Role

This role requires a start time of 3am–5am, with a finish time dependent on the completion of deliveries and return to the depot. The schedule involves 5 out of 6 working days, Monday to Saturday, including Bank Holidays.

You will work as part of our Depot Team, ensuring all customer orders are delivered in line with specifications to the chef’s kitchen in perfect condition.


What You Will Do

  • Drive a 7.5-tonne vehicle to transport orders nationally.
  • Provide first-class customer service by interacting respectfully and professionally with customers.
  • Deliver orders strictly according to instructions; raise any issues immediately with the Depot Team if deviations are unavoidable.
  • Use GPS navigation, order systems, and PDA devices effectively to track deliveries.
  • Verify that each order matches its invoice; escalate discrepancies promptly to the Depot Team.
  • Comply with all UK and HGV driving laws at all times.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness, adhering to depot cleaning schedules.
  • Complete a thorough daily walk-round check on your assigned vehicle before departing, ensuring roadworthiness and raising any issues.
  • Uphold hygiene standards in line with BRC accreditation and GMP standards.
  • Have knowledge of company Health & Safety, security, and emergency procedures.

What You Will Need

  • Full UK driving licence and LGV C1 licence.
  • Valid Driver CPC and Digi Card.
  • Strong understanding of UK driving laws, particularly HGV-specific rules.
  • Knowledge of GB HGV drivers’ working hours regulations.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrating reliability and conscientiousness.
  • Problem-solving skills to minimise disruptions for customers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an enthusiastic, proactive attitude.
