Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a 7.5 tonne driver with experience in asphalt works, based in the London Area, United Kingdom. The driver will be responsible for safely operating a 7.5 tonne truck to transport asphalt and related materials to and from job sites, following all relevant road safety regulations and company procedures. Day-to-day tasks include vehicle checks and basic maintenance, loading and unloading materials, supporting asphalt surfacing teams on-site, and ensuring timely deliveries to meet project schedules. The role also involves clear communication with site supervisors and team members, maintaining accurate delivery records, and representing the company professionally when interacting with clients, third-party contractors, and the public.

Qualifications
- Strong truck driving skills, including safe operation of a 7.5 tonne vehicle and familiarity with relevant road regulations.
- Valid commercial driving license (e.g., CDL Class A or equivalent UK license), with a clean driving record and appropriate endorsements.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with site teams, supervisors, and logistics staff.
- Customer service skills to interact professionally with clients, site contacts, and members of the public.
- Experience in asphalt works or similar construction/groundworks environments, with an understanding of site safety requirements.
- Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections, identify basic mechanical issues, and report maintenance needs promptly.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and to handle manual tasks such as assisting with loading and unloading.
- Strong reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail, with the ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
