Purpose
We have opportunities for experienced 7.5 tonne Drivers to join our Transport team based at our prestigious Ascot Drive Bakery to work on Sundays.
Please note that you must have a Clean, C1 Driving licence, CPC card and Digi card to apply for this position.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering Birds’ freshly made products to our shops, as well as returning empty racks and cabinets back to the bakery. You’ll play a vital part in ensuring our products reach our customers fresh and on time.

We currently have one role requiring someone to join our wonderful team on a Sunday working 7 hours a day from 4am, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys early starts and being on the road when the day begins.

You will be delivering Birds’ freshly made produce to our shops and returning empty racks and cabinets to the Bakery.
Responsibilities
- Load/unload vehicles; manual handling of rolling equipment and no hand balling involved
- Ensure vehicle loads are safe and secured with the appropriate restraints as per Company procedures and Safe Systems of Work
- Perform daily vehicle defect checks and log as necessary

Shifts
Sunday hours are from 4am and will be contracted to 7 hours per week.
Experience
Applicants must be of smart appearance and ideally have good knowledge of the local area but this is not essential as full training will be provided.
Qualifications
- Right to work in the UK
- C1 Licence
- A valid CPC Driver Qualification Card
- Digi-Card
- A clean UK Driving Licence
