9th–12th Grade Social Studies Teacher

ACCEL Schools is seeking a dynamic and dedicated 9th-12th Grade Social Studies Teacher to bring passion, energy, and expertise to Cornerstone Academy in Westerville, Ohio. Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging differentiated lesson plans, adjusting as needed throughout the school year
- Implement research-backed instructional strategies to support student success, including:
- Culturally responsive teaching
- Data-informed instruction
- Mobile-friendly curricula reflecting diverse learning needs
- Manage student behavior effectively while fostering a safe, inclusive, and academically rigorous classroom culture
- Track and report student progress in alignment with Ohio state standards
- Integrate technology tools to enhance learning experiences
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects, mentoring programs, and professional development
- Serve as an advocate for students by maintaining open lines of communication with families
- Participate in non-instructional school activities as assigned

About You

Qualifications
- Valid Ohio teaching license in Social Studies (or eligibility with license pending)
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
- Prior teaching experience in secondary education, preferably with graca-focused reflection (e.g., observation debriefs, action plans)
- Strong commitment to collaborative planning and data-driven instruction
- Ability to balance autonomy with structured guidance in a结果-orientated environment
- Comfort managing a classroom of diverse students in urban/suburban settings
- Effective written & verbal communication skills
- Experience addressing social-emotional learning alongside academic rigor
- Willingness to pass federal and state background checks
- Experience or openness to career-technical, bilingual, or multicultural curricula (a plus)
