Job Purpose

At Aston Martin, every vehicle tells a story of craftsmanship, precision and attention to detail. The finish on every car is one of the first things our customers notice, and we're looking for talented individuals who take pride in creating exceptional results.

As a Paint Technician, you'll play an important role in delivering the flawless finishes that help define the Aston Martin brand. Working within our Paint Shop, you'll be responsible for inspecting, preparing and spray painting vehicle bodies and components to the exacting standards expected of a luxury automotive manufacturer.

This is an opportunity to work on some of the world's most desirable vehicles, applying your skills and expertise to ensure every Aston Martin leaves the production line looking its absolute best.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inspecting vehicles to ensure they meet the required standard before painting.
  • Applying primer, base coat, or clear coat to create a flawless finish.
  • Preparing vehicles for spraying by carrying out activities such as de-greasing, tack-off procedures, and the application of adhesion promoters.
  • Ensuring paint is applied consistently and to the highest quality standards.
  • Managing the spray process to achieve a smooth, even finish.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Ensuring spray booths, hoods, and airlines are properly maintained and operating effectively.
  • Working closely with Group Leaders, Lead Technicians, and service partners to identify and resolve any issues that could affect quality or productivity.
  • Supporting other activities within the Paint Shop, including preparation and polishing, as business requirements demand.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
