About the Role
Are you passionate about empowering the next generation of skilled creatives? Capital City College is seeking a passionate, skilled, and dedicated A Level Fine Art Lecturer to join our dynamic team based at our central London Kings Cross Campus.
As a Lecturer in Fine Art, you will:
- Support learners to achieve their full potential through high-quality teaching
- Contribute to curriculum development in alignment with Edexcel A Level Fine Art
- Provide pastoral guidance alongside academic instruction
- Inspire and motivate A-Level students to excel in their artistic journey
This is a part-time (0.4 FTE), permanent role, offering the flexibility to grow alongside a supportive and vibrant London-based education community.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, inclusive Fine Art instruction at A Level, meeting Edexcel curriculum requirements
- Assess and provide constructive feedback on students' creative work
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching methods
- Support student progression, helping them transition to higher education or careers in the arts
- Maintain strong communication with learners, parents, and college staff
- Contribute to enrichment activities (workshops, exhibitions, and external events)

Requirements
We are looking for an individual with:
- Proven experience teaching A Level Fine Art (or a related discipline)
- A deep knowledge of student assessment under Edexcel specifications
- Strong communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
- A commitment to inclusive, learner-centred teaching
- A teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)—or a willingness to qualify
- The ability to inspire diverse learners and guide them toward success
- Ideally, real-world experience in the arts or education sector
