Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Roles & Responsibilities

You will guide young people through advanced mathematics, with a core focus on preparing students for success in their AS and A-Level examinations. In this role, you will:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across the A-Level curriculum, including Pure Mathematics, Statistics, and Mechanics.
  • Develop targeted learning resources adapted to individual student paces, from high-achievers aiming for top grades to students requiring extra patience and SEN/SEMH support.
  • Break down complex algebraic, geometric, and calculus concepts into clear, digestible steps.
  • Provide constructive assignment feedback, track student progress, and lead rigorous exam preparation and technique workshops.
  • Collaborate with school maths departments to foster a confident, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment.

What you’ll need:

  • A relevant degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, or a highly quantitative field. QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or a recognized UK teaching qualification is highly desirable.
  • Complete mastery of the current A-Level Mathematics specifications (including Pure, Mechanics, and Stats).
  • The unique ability to simplify highly abstract mathematical theories and build student confidence.
  • Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to undergo one).
  • Proven classroom teaching or high-level tutoring experience within the UK secondary/sixth-form system (SEN/SEMH experience is a distinct advantage).
  • Based in or able to commute to schools across Buckinghamshire (e.g., Aylesbury, High Wycombe, Milton Keynes, Amersham, Chesham).
