With sustained, secure growth and aircraft deliveries planned until 2035, now is a great time to join Jet2 as a Captain on our Airbus A321 fleet.
Available Positions
146 new Airbus A321neo aircraft are being introduced to our fleet over the coming years. Current direct entry Captain positions are available at:
- London Stansted
- Manchester
- London Gatwick

About the Role
Jet2 is the UK’s number one tour operator, trusted by customers across the nation. Our UK bases are self-handled, minimising reliance on external ground operations support.
Each base is supported by a current line Captain, complemented by a dedicated crew development team that helps you grow both professionally and personally.
As a Captain, you’ll typically enjoy a two-sector daily schedule, with full-time opportunities that often require less than 750 hours of flying per year.
Our in-house Air Transport Organisation (ATO) offers 2 UK-based training centres, and eligible Captains can explore over 20 secondary roles in crew training, technical departments, or pastoral roles.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
