AACC Clinical Commissioning Manager – Kent & Medway
An exciting and impactful opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated clinical professional to join the Kent and Medway All Age Continuing Care (AACC) service as the AACC Clinical Commissioning Manager.
About the Role
The AACC Clinical Commissioning Manager will drive the commissioning, assurance, and continuous improvement of All Age Continuing Care services across Kent and Medway, ensuring delivery of safe, effective, person-centred, and financially sustainable services.
This role will focus on improving quality and service transformation, overseeing planning, monitoring, and financial stewardship while maintaining strong stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee commissioning, assurance, and continuous improvement activities for AACC services
- Identify and drive improvements in quality and service transformation
- Ensure high-quality, coordinated, and sustainable care pathways
- Champion person-centred care and service redesign
- Plan, monitor, and assure integrated AACC services
- Conduct robust performance evaluations and quality assessments
- Establish and maintain effective governance for AACC services
- Support technical programme delivery through:
- Combining clinical expertise with operational and financial insight
- Aligning service development with NHS strategic priorities
- Ensure due process and compliance in:
- Managing appeals, disputes, and Independent Review Panels efficiently
- Responding to complaints, Serious Adverse Reactions (SARs), and Freedom of Information (FOI) requests under ICB responsibility
- Manage financial accountability for commissioned AACC services, including:
- Budget oversight and financial sampling for high-cost decision-making panels
- Financial sustainability of commissioned packages
- Support statutory and regulatory responsibilities, including:
- **Children’s and Young People’s Continuing Care (CYPCC)
- **Children in Transition (CHC)
- **Further National Care (FNC) processes

- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including:
- Value-for-money assessments
- Service redesign projects
- Strategic recommendations to enhance efficiency and patient outcomes

- Face-to-face supervisory meetings
