Role Overview

The firm are ideally looking for a school leaver (or equivalent) or even someone who has some practise experience and its looking to continue or start their AAT qualification. You will be working as part of a team providing accounts and bookkeeping services on cloud software.

Job Description

As an Accounts Associate, your key responsibilities will include;

  • Bookkeeping
  • Production of management accounts from client source networks
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Preparation of year end statuary accounts
  • Ensure sound knowledge of a client and its industry by researching background information and useful publications;
  • Develop communication skills and build relationships with key stakeholders;
  • Liaise with and attend client meetings and social activities;
  • Develop and apply technical knowledge gained from studies and on the job experience;
  • Attend in-house technical training as required;

Working arrangements

The working week: 37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday) to be worked from 09:00-17:30 with flexibility of hours to meet specific work demands.

Location: Your principle work based is our London Office.

Academic Requirements

Person specifications -Desirable experience and skills

To be considered for this role you must have minimum A levels of B,B,C or equivalent, and Grade 6 or above in GCSE Maths and English Language (or equivalent)

Experience

  • Experience Previous bookkeeping experience within a practice environment (desirable)
  • Basic inputting or reconciliation skills (desirable)
  • Experience of Excel and Cloud software
  • Studying towards a recognised accountancy qualification (ACA,ACCA or AAT or equivalent)
