Key Responsibilities:
- Implement the Company’s Safety Management System (SMS) and adhere to all safe working practices.
- Perform maintenance, greasing, and cleaning work on deck and in accommodation areas.
- Operate cranes for loading/unloading operations (if qualified or under supervision).
- Assist with fish transport-related tasks, ensuring the welfare of live cargo during loading, transit, and unloading.
- Support mooring operations at ports as directed by senior officers.
- Carry out navigational watches as a lookout or helmsman.
- Undertake security duties as instructed by the Ship Security Officer (SSO).
- Perform additional tasks, as required, to ensure the safe operation of the vessel and cargo.
Requirements:
- AB certificate of proficiency
- Nav watch rating certificate
- Efficient deck hand course
- Up-to-date STCW certificates.
- Current ENG1 medical certificate.
- A commitment to maintaining high safety standards and attention to detail, particularly when handling live cargo.
- Experience in similar roles or familiarity with live fish transport is advantageous but not essential.
