Academic Administrator

Barony or Oatridge Campus (Flexible)

About The Team:

The Academic Services team at SRUC is responsible for delivering customer-focused and efficient administrative services to both students and staff. Their work covers a wide range of activities, including class and examination timetabling, student enrolment and registration, data entry and record keeping, attendance registers, coursework management, research & education finance functions, quality systems, graduation and prize-giving, student admissions and induction, complaints and appeals, event management (such as open days and applicant days), support for research activities and grant applications, liaison with industry bodies, resource allocation (rooms, equipment, etc.), and preparation for audits.

This team ensures that SRUC’s systems, processes, and procedures run smoothly, particularly in areas Programme Administration, Finance & Research, and Timetabling & Exams.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused administrator to join our Timetabling and Exams team within Academic Services. This varied role supports Timetabling and Exam activities, ensuring the smooth delivery of key administrative services across SRUC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality support within timetabling and exams administration
  • Provide front-of-house services and respond to queries from staff and students
  • Maintain accurate records, produce reports, and support meetings and audits
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient workload distribution and continuous improvement of processes
  • Offer flexible support across other teams and reception when needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • SCQF Level 5 or equivalent qualification or higher
