Description
We are currently seeking an Academic Casework Officer who will take a lead in all administrative activities relating to the processing of Academic Appeal claims and Academic Integrity cases. This will include taking responsibility for liaising with students and academic members of staff and coordinating Panel meetings, and for formally communicating Appeal and Academic Integrity decisions to the relevant students, and for ensuring that the student record is updated correctly in line with these decisions.
About the Role
You will be an organised and detail-oriented Academic Casework Officer who will support the Academic Casework Manager in maintaining academic integrity and quality assurance across the University. You will lead the administration of Academic Appeals and Academic Integrity cases, acting as the key point of contact for students and academic staff, coordinating panel meetings, preparing documentation, recording outcomes, and ensuring student records are updated accurately. You will also support process improvements, policy reviews and training initiatives, helping to deliver a fair, efficient and professional casework service in line with University regulations.

About You
- Significant previous administrative experience, preferably in a Higher Education environment
- Ability to prioritise a busy workload and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work on your own initiative and be proactive in your approach
- Ability to use technical knowledge and apply it in a practical situation
- Experience of working with student records and relevant systems, preferably SITS
- Experience of leading on the development and enhancement of organisational processes
- Previous experience of working in a student casework environment

Additional Information
Salary Grade 6 - Starting from £ 33,951 rising to £ 37,694 per annum
The salary range shows the potential maximum pay progression in addition to any annual inflationary increase to your pay. Please note that our default position is to appoint into the lower end of the range, unless there are exceptional circumstances.
