Salary: £29,179 per annum
37 hours per week, fixed-term maternity cover for 9-12 months

About the role
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to provide maternity cover for an Academic Quality Officer role. The role reports to the Quality Assurance and Enhancement Manager and supports the university’s course teams to deliver excellent standards of academic quality. The person appointed will work alongside other officers, all of whom will be providing operational support for their allocated Schools.

The successful candidate will be an experienced administrator who has excellent attention to detail, a positive approach to customer service and is proactive in supporting colleagues. The postholder will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to work to deadlines and prioritise their own work. Under the direction of the Quality Assurance and Enhancement Manager, the postholder will be required to refer to university policy and provide accurate advice and guidance to students and staff on all academic quality matters. The postholder will have experience of minute and report writing; dealing with queries and researching information; liaising with a wide range of colleagues and external stakeholders; and scheduling meetings.
The appointed individual will have good IT skills and be confident in using databases and the full MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and Copilot. A calm approach to problem solving whilst working quickly and effectively under pressure is fundamental to the success of the role.
Applicants should have a Level 3 qualification and/or equivalent experience as a minimum requirement.
