NABA London
NABA London is the first international campus of Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti, opening in East London in October 2026. Combining Italian design heritage with London’s creative industries, NABA London will offer an international, studio-based learning environment for students across art, design, fashion, and creative disciplines. NABA London is currently seeking for motivated individuals for the role of Academic Registration and Student Support Specialist.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be based in London and will report directly to the Communication and Student Services Manager. The Academic Registration and Student Support Specialist is responsible for coordinating academic administration and student support services, ensuring the effective management of student records, registration processes, academic timetables, and institutional procedures. The role serves as a key point of contact for students, faculty, and external academic partners, contributing to an outstanding student experience from enrollment through graduation.
Student Support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for students, providing guidance and support on academic regulations, policies, student services, accommodation, healthcare registration (NHS), National Insurance Number applications, health insurance, and practical aspects of daily life in the UK.
- Manage and monitor the student enquiries mailbox, ensuring timely, accurate, and student-focused responses.
- Coordinate and administer student status changes, including course transfers, interruptions of studies, withdrawals, progression to subsequent levels of study, and transfers in collaboration with the Admissions team.
- Provide administrative support and guidance to students and parents throughout the student lifecycle, ensuring the smooth completion of academic and administrative processes.
- Support international students with visa-related administrative requirements after their arrival in the UK, acting as a point of reference and coordinating with relevant institutional stakeholders where required.
- Monitor the timely creation and completion of class registers to ensure accurate attendance tracking, compliance with institutional requirements, and the availability of reliable data for faculty management and student monitoring purposes.
- Work closely with the Head of Education and Course Leaders to monitor student attendance, engagement, progression, and overall academic experience, identifying potential risks and implementing appropriate support or intervention measures to enhance student success and retention.
- Process student documents and certification requests, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
- Maintain and update the Student Portal, ensuring that academic, administrative, and student-facing information is accurate, current, and easily accessible.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of student support processes, policies, and services to enhance the overall student experience.
- Support the coordination and communication of academic timetables, key dates, academic procedures, and operational information to students and faculty, ensuring an effective and well-organised academic environment.

Assessment and Student Progression
- Support the administration and coordination of internal and external assessment activities.
- Assist in the preparation of Assessment and Progression Boards, including the collection of student records, assessment evidence and required documentation for External Examiners.
- Prepare meeting minutes and maintain accurate records of Assessment and Progression Boards.
- Communicate assessment timelines and guidelines to academic staff and monitor compliance with key deadlines.
- Oversee the accurate recording of assessment results within the Student Information System.
- Coordinate the publication of provisional and final grades and ensure their timely communication to students.
Administrative Activities
- Manage student records and ensure the accurate transfer of student data to relevant institutions in compliance with privacy regulations and institutional guidelines.
- Support the administration of HESA collection data as well as Students Surveys.
- Prepare and provide data reports required by institutional stakeholders and NABA offices.
- Monitor and support student re-enrollment and progression processes.
- Participate in Course Panels and related academic governance activities, when required.
Reception
- Act as the main front-of-house representative of the School, ensuring an excellent experience for students, staff, tutors, guest lecturers and visitors through the effective management of reception and campus services.
- Provide a professional and welcoming reception service, offering general information and directing visitors to the appropriate facilities, services and contacts.
- Coordinate reception activities and support the management of incoming calls and general enquiries.
- Manage the switchboard and support the effective handling of campus communications.
About You
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in academic support, educational administration, or coordinating academic activities, preferably in an international or higher education environment.
- Experience in managing timetables, planning, and coordinating academic events and activities
- Familiarity with academic management systems (e.g., student management software) and administrative practices in educational contexts (particularly in the UK or higher education sector).
Technical and Organizational Skills
- Strong planning and organizational skills: ability to effectively manage timetables and academic resources, ensuring all activities are scheduled on time and without conflicts.
- Excellent understanding of academic processes in an international context, especially related to timetabling, student career management, and faculty support.
- Knowledge of student visa processes, National Insurance Number registration, and health insurance for international students is a plus.
- Knowledge of UK academic regulations related to attendance, student career management, and dropout prevention strategies.
- Good level and experience in the use of Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of Hyperplanning tool is a plus

- Proactivity and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment typical of an academic start-up.
Language Skills
- Fluency in English (C1/C2 level) both written and spoken
- Additional language skills are a plus
Terms of Employment
- Contract: Full-time employment
- Working pattern: Onsite
- Gross annual salary range: £30,000 - £35,000
