Job Description
What you’ll be doing
- Delivering training to groups of up to 24 trainees in: Electrical engineering and machine principles (NVQ Level 4/5) and Basic electronics and mathematics (Level 2/3)
- Demonstrating practical electrical and machine concepts during lab sessions
- Supervising trainee-led laboratory work aligned with module content
- Administering and invigilating both paper-based and online examinations
- Marking and check-marking assessments to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Maintaining and updating training materials with Training Design staff
Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications
What we’re looking for
- At least a Foundation Degree in Electrical Engineering (or a related engineering discipline), or an HND/FdSc in Electrical Engineering or proven teaching/practical experience in Electrical Engineering
Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications
- Experience in the theory and practical use of Electrical Machines (DC Motors/Generators, AC Motors/Generators) and Three Phase AC systems.
- Classroom experience in teaching technical subjects in an adult education environment, ideally with at least a Level 4 teaching qualification.
- Experience of the Defence Systems Approach to Training (or equivalent).
