About The Role

JOB TITLE Academy Analyst

DEPARTMENT Academy

RESPONSIBLE TO Head of Academy Performance Analysis (direct), Lead Phase Coach

SALARY Competitive

CONTRACT Full-time, 40 hours a week

WORK FLEXIBILITY The position will involve working irregular hours; evenings, weekends and bank holidays)

Purpose of Role

  • Lead the performance analysis support to the Youth Development Phase age groups (U13-U16)
  • Support with the analysis provision in the Foundation Phase age groups (U9-U12)

Role Responsibilities

  • Undertake self-development to ensure knowledge in relation to all aspects of your role is up-to-date and forward thinking.
  • Build relationships throughout the academy and broader.

Main Roles & Responsibilities – Academy Analyst

  • Lead on all analysis tasks for the Youth Development Phase as directed by the Head of Academy Performance Analysis.
  • Create content for all analysis meetings (i.e. game plan, pre match, post-match, unit, individual).
  • Create individual post-match data reports for U13-U16 players.
  • Training analysis and databasing sessions.
  • Match day capture, live coding and feedback.
  • Sharing of content onto relevant platforms for staff and players.
  • Creating and maintaining best practice libraries for individuals, units and team footage.
  • Wherever necessary (or available) to support information with internal or external data.
  • Support coaching staff in identifying, monitoring and preparing information for individual player development plans.
  • Support the Head of Academy Performance Analysis with developing the Analysis Work Placement Students.

About The Candidate

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Undergraduate degree in performance analysis or a related field (e.g. Sport Science).
  • First-hand experience in the use of industry standard analysis products (e.g. Hudl Sportscode or SBG Focus).
  • Minimum of 1 year’s performance analysis experience within a professional football academy.

Desirable

  • Postgraduate qualification in performance analysis or related field.
  • Football coaching qualifications (UEFA B Licence).
  • Full UK Driving License.

CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK REQUIREMENT

This role will require an Enhanced DBS Check.
