The Role
To support the delivery of high-quality coaching within the Foundation Phase, ensuring young players are developed in line with the club’s playing philosophy and Academy Performance Plan.
Main Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and review coaching sessions that are age-appropriate, engaging, and in line with the Academy philosophy.
- Support the holistic development of players across the Foundation Phase (technical, tactical, physical, psychological, and social).
- Create a safe, fun, and inclusive learning environment for all players.
- Work closely with the Foundation Phase Lead and multidisciplinary staff to ensure the effective development of players.
- Support matchday coaching and review performance with players.
- Contribute to player reviews, ensuring constructive feedback is provided to aid progression.
- Ensure safeguarding and welfare standards are upheld at all times.

- Passionate about player development and grassroots/academy football.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to create a positive learning environment.
- Flexible and committed to evening/weekend availability.
- Works well in a team and open to feedback.

Experience and Qualifications required
- UEFA B (working towards) coaching qualification (minimum).
- FA Youth Modules / Introduction to Coaching Football desirable.
- Valid FA Safeguarding Children Certificate.
- Emergency First Aid in Football (EFAiF).
- Previous experience working with children in a coaching capacity.
