Join Bridewell Academy – Entry-Level Cyber Security Consultant

The Opportunity

The Bridewell Academy is designed to launch your cyber security career, providing structured training, mentorship, and real-world project experience. Your journey will be split into clear phases:

Months 1–3: Onboarding & Foundation

  • ** Comprehensive onboarding** with a dedicated manager and buddy for guidance.
  • Exposure to our Security and Compliance team to explore cyber security fundamentals.
  • Attendance of the SANS Foundations course and introduction to our learning management system, laying the groundwork for professional growth.

Months 3–6: Hands-On Client Projects

  • Integration into designated client project squads to apply skills in real-world scenarios.
  • Collaborative work with team members, contributing directly to client deliverables while building confidence.

Months 6–18: Specialisation & Certification

  • Ongoing involvement in client projects, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Completion of key certifications, including:
    • ISO 27001 Lead Implementer & Auditor
    • Certificate in Information Security Management Principles (CISMP)
  • Academy certification pathway to consolidate expertise.

Requirements

Experience

  • No formal cyber security experience is required (this is an entry-level academy role).
  • We are eager to spot individual potential rather than prior work history.
  • Must demonstrate transferable skills such as:
    • Confidence & initiative ("self-starter mentality")
    • Strong relationship-building ability
    • Passion for learning

Qualifications

  • A degree in Cyber Security, equivalent qualification, or completion of a Cyber Security-focused training course/bootcamp.
  • Minimum Grade 4/C in GCSE English Language & Maths (or equivalent).
  • Three A-Levels or five Highers (or equivalent qualifications).

Responsibilities

  • Support Client Engagements: Assist in delivering high-quality client projects, including:
    • Guidance on ISO 27001 & PCI-DSS compliance processes.
    • Support across other cyber security-related areas as required.
  • Stay Informed: Actively engage in professional development through:
    • Training sessions, workshops, and industry conferences.
  • Collaborate with Consultants: Enhance project delivery by:
    • Gathering research, preparing documentation, and supporting consultancy teams.
  • Participate in Team Meetings: Contribute to:
    • Project updates, problem-solving, and feedback to foster a collaborative environment.
  • Conduct Basic Research: Support local team with:
    • Cyber security trends, market analysis, and competitor insights.
  • Engage with Clients: Assist in:
    • Client-facing meetings, discussions, and communications to refine service delivery.
