Academy Transport Driver – Tottenham Hotspur FC

Role Purpose

As part of the Academy Transport Team, you’ll ensure the safe and efficient transportation of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club (THFC) Academy players. Your duties will include:

  • Driving the minibus and club vehicles in accordance with UK Highway Code regulations.
  • Maintaining passenger, staff, and public safety while operating on the roads.
  • Conducting basic vehicle checks (e.g., oil levels, cleaning) to ensure safe operation and prevent deterioration.

You’ll play a key role in transporting young players to and from training grounds, matches, and residences, while upholding the club’s commitment to excellence and adherence to safeguarding policies.


Key Responsibilities

Transport and Driver Duty

  • Perform basic daily vehicle maintenance checks (e.g., tyres, fluids,Cleanliness) and log mileage
  • Record maintenance reports and accident incidents via designated software
  • Maintain vehicle hygiene to ensure clean, safe conditions
  • Operate company vehicles safely and legally, in compliance with Traffic Laws and Road Safety Regulations

Safeguarding and Welfare

Person Specification

Qualifications & Training

Essential:

✅ Minimum Grade 7 (or equivalent) in GCSE English and Maths ✅ Full, clean UK driving licence (hold current or near to) ✅ Strong **understanding of UK Road Traffic laws ✅ Awareness of basic safety and security measures ✅ Knowledge of Health and Safety best practices

Desirable:

🔹 Relevant qualifications such as a Category D1 licence 🔹 MiDAS, ISBA Minibus Compliance, or RoSPA training (or willingness to complete) 🔹 FA Safeguarding Children certification


Skills & Experience

Essential:

📌 Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team environment 📌 Effective verbal and written communication 📌 Strong organisation and time management skills 📌 Experience driving a 9-seater people carrier minibus (preferably elite sports/academy setting)
