Academy Health and Wellbeing Physiologist
Location: Tunbridge Wells Department: Physiology Contract: Permanent Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week) Salary: Up to £28,100 per annum
About the Role
Transform healthcare in the UK by joining our integrated care team at Nuffield Health, delivering assessment, treatment, and prevention services.
As a Health and Wellbeing Physiologist, your expertise in physiology, exercise, biochemistry, anatomy/biomechanics, psychology, and nutrition will be applied in a hands-on, client-focused setting.
This is a mobile role, requiring travel within the region of your allocated base in Tunbridge Wells.
Responsibilities
- Join a multidisciplinary team of doctors, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals
- Complete a structured three-week in-house training course to prepare for the role
- Promote health and fitness as part of our holistic, client-centred care
- Conduct health assessments to support clients in achieving their wellbeing goals
- Provide prevention, rehabilitation, and recovery services
- Maintain a passionate and caring approach, prioritising client needs
- Complete our industry-leading "award-winning preceptorship programme" during your first 12 months
- Travel to deliver services across the region

Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree: Minimum 2:2 in Sport and Exercise Science or an equivalent qualification
- Core knowledge: Applied expertise in human physiology, exercise, biochemistry, anatomy/biomechanics, psychology, and nutrition
- Budget location: Presented preference for Tunbridge Wells—interviews will assess interest in alternative sites if required

- Attend a training camp scheduled for September 2026 upon hiring
