About the Role
In this entry-level Physiologist position within our Physiology department at Nuffield Health's Cannock Gym, you’ll make a meaningful impact on healthcare while growing within our organisation. We’re leading healthcare transformation in the UK by integrating assessment, treatment, and prevention services to deliver holistic care.
As part of our Academy Physiology team, you’ll bring expertise in sport and exercise science, specialising in human physiology, exercise, biochemistry, anatomy/biomechanics, psychology, and nutrition—with the ability to apply your knowledge practically.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including doctors, physiotherapists, and other professionals
- Complete our in-house 3-week training course, ensuring foundational competency
- Support preventive care alongside rehabilitation by:
- Conducting health assessments tailored to individual wellbeing goals
- Promoting health and fitness as integral to our holistic wellness approach
- Prioritise client care, ensuring your services are passionate, compassionate, and client-first
- Engage in our award-winning preceptorship programme during your first 12 months, designed to aid professional growth

Essential Requirements
- A minimum 2:2 undergraduate degree in Sport and Exercise Science (or relevant equivalent)
- Strong understanding of human physiology, exercise science, anatomy, biomechanics, psychology, and nutrition
- Demonstrate the ability to translate theoretical knowledge into practical, health-enhancing practices
- Willingness to travel within the Cannock region as roles require mobility
Training & Development
- Attend a mandatory training camp, scheduled for September 2026
