Kit Manager – Nottingham Forest FC Academy Operations

About the Role
Manages all aspects of the Academy Players’ kit, ensuring:
- Correct ordering, preparation, printing, distribution and laundering of training, travel and matchday kit to meet Professional Development League (PDL) and PL2 standards
- Availability of equipment such as footballs, bibs, cones, poles and mannequins for use in training and matches
The ideal candidate will: ✔ Take full responsibility for kit supply chain operations ✔ Maintain regular communication with coaches, medical staff and academy management

Key Duties & Responsibilities
Kit Management
- Ensure daily availability of correct kit for Academy players and staff.
- Verify that all match kit adheres to PDL/PL2 standards and is packed accordingly.
- Liaise with Retail for printing and numbering of player and staff training kits.
- Order, sort and distribute all kit prior to training, travel and fixtures.
- Track kit usage and liaise with laundry to refurbish and refresh supplies.
- Produce detailed monthly/quarterly/yearly reports tracking kit spend, distributions and achievement against KPIs.

Equipment Coordination
- Stock and maintain training essentials (footballs, bibs, cones, targets).
- Oversee pressured/condition-matched setups for matches, ensuring equipment is prepped ahead of sessions.
Field & Playoff Responsibilities
- Work all home and away matchdays (including squad travel, early mornings, late nights).
- Liaise with medical staff for injured players during unexpected training.
- Organise B-Team fixtures involving First Team players.
Logistics & Compliance
- A full UK driving licence is mandatory for driving the Club vehicle.
- Conduct stock checks and record updates for Academy Management.
- Present a professional image when interacting with players, staff and partners.
- Maintain strict adherence to representative conduct and club values.
Safeguarding
- Commit to safeguarding vulnerable adults and children, reporting concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Officer (DSO).
- Must declare any applicable criminal convictions/cautions in line with placement/role policies.
What We Are Looking For
- Exceptional organisational skills, precision and time management.
- Prior professional or football-related experience in managing sporting equipment/kit.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Intranets, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments with deadline pressures.
- Adaptability to last-minute changes and urgent demands.
- Professional PA/admin skills, strong written/verbal communication.
- Health & safety awareness in high-traffic club environments.
- Diplomacy – requirement for tact, confidentiality and conflict handling.
