About The Placement
We are offering an opportunity to gain experience within our Academy Recruitment department across the 2026-27 season.
This is a brilliant opportunity for a candidate with high attention to detail and a passion for football, while offering an insight into future career pathways in a high-performance professional sport environment.
This placement is suitable for a student who is looking for an industry placement throughout the completion of their Masters degree at St Mary’s University Twickenham (link to course with entry requirements below).

Advanced Talent Identification and Player Recruitment (Distance Learning) MSc
Key tasks/responsibilities
Include, but are not limited to:
- To support the academy recruitment staff across the PDP and YDP with detailed insights to contribute towards continue success, outlined below.
- Recruitment
- Extensive video scouting and analysis to support and drive early identification and assessment of players suitable for Norwich City’s academy.
- Support the scouting strategy, ensuring depth coverage of assigned markets and leagues, generating detailed scouting reports on potential target players across designated phases.
- Managing and maintaining thorough scouting shortlists to monitor and track potential targets.
- Collate, manage and coordinate scouting information and market intelligence.
- Assist in the completion of detailed videos, dossiers and presentations on target players
- Opportunity to work in collaboration with existing first team and academy staff to ensure efficient market and player coverage.
- Opportunities to gain experience with live scouting and report writing across the 2026/27 season.
- Opportunity to be involved in a range of personal development opportunities across the year, gaining insight into differing department's workflows and processes.
