Field Service Engineer Wanted Immediate Start!

Nationwide (Field-Based) | Salary: £32,000 - £42,000 DOE
Permanent, Full-Time

Are you an experienced Access Control or Security Systems Engineer?

Regional Recruitment are recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join a professional and growing technology services provider. This is a customer-facing, field-based role requiring a reliable, self-sufficient individual who can work independently across multiple client sites nationwide.

You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of access control and security systems, ensuring high standards of workmanship, technical accuracy, and customer satisfaction at all times.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • Proven experience installing and maintaining access control systems
  • Strong fault-finding and servicing experience within security systems
  • Good understanding of basic networking (IP addressing, switches, configuration)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to work independently and travel nationwide

Desirable:

  • Experience working with Paxton systems
  • Experience with CCTV and intercom systems
  • Structured cabling experience (CAT5/CAT6)
  • Broader knowledge of access control and integrated security systems

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and commission access control systems at client sites
  • Carry out planned maintenance and reactive service/fault-finding visits
  • Install and service CCTV and related security systems
  • Configure networked devices and integrate systems into client networks
  • Complete structured cabling and containment work where required
  • Maintain accurate job records and documentation in line with company standards
  • Deliver a high level of customer service and professionalism on-site
  • Work safely and in line with company and industry regulations
  • Travel nationwide to support client requirements

Requirements

As a Field Service Engineer, you will also be expected to:

  • Work independently and manage your own workload effectively
  • Maintain excellent timekeeping and organisation
  • Represent the company professionally at all times
  • Be flexible with travel and working locations across the UK
  • Be in a position to hit the ground running with minimal training
