Assistant Accommodation Manager

We are now looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Accommodation Manager to join our dynamic team at voco Belfast. This is on a 12-month fixed-term basis for Maternity Leave cover. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our accommodations department and providing exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Accommodation Manager in all aspects of departmental operations.
  • Oversee the daily tasks of the housekeeping team, ensuring adherence to high cleaning standards.
  • Conduct room inspections to maintain guest room quality and identify any maintenance needs.
  • Prepare and assign housekeeping schedules, ensuring efficient room turnaround.
  • Liaise with the Front Office & reservations department to manage room inventory, arrivals, and departures.
  • Resolve guest concerns and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Train and mentor housekeeping team members fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of departmental procedures.
  • Contribute to the creation of a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for all guests.
  • Uphold all company policies and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry, preferably in housekeeping.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coach a team.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in hospitality software is a plus.
