Join us as an Accommodation Support Worker at Thirteen Group! This is a talent pool opportunity – there are currently no live vacancies, but we recruit proactively due to the length of time that vetting clearances can take. If successful, we would initiate your clearances ready for a position becoming available.

Role Overview: Thirteen Group is on the lookout for Accommodation Support Workers to join our talent pool for our Offender Services team in Northumbria which covers 6 Local Authorities and HMP Northumberland. Help people rebuild their lives after prison. Every year, hundreds of people leave custody without a stable place to live. As an Accommodation Support Worker, you’ll help individuals secure safe housing, reduce the risk of reoffending and build a more positive future. This role currently ends in July 2027, but has the potential to be made permanent. The role requires a blend of work in the community and within HMP Northumberland. This is a fast-paced role working within a dynamic team and requires you to be a self-starter who can meet tight deadlines. Please note these roles are subject to National Security Vetting and Prison Clearance.

Thirteen Benefits: Salary - £35,005 per annum Annual leave – starting at 28 days and rising to 31 days after three years, a day off for your birthday, plus bank holidays. Pension – up to 17% contributions (flexible contribution rates of up to 7% colleague and up to 10% employer). Simply Health – save money on common health expenses and get access to health and wellbeing support services. T’dar – our Discount and Reward platform giving you huge savings on everyday brands. Opportunities to buy and sell annual leave.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
