Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Account Assistant role based in Borehamwood. The Account Assistant will support the finance and property management teams with day-to-day accounting tasks, including processing invoices, managing petty cash, and assisting with credit control activities. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports as required. The Account Assistant will liaise with internal colleagues, and clients to resolve queries responding to emails ensure timely payments and receipts. The position also includes general administrative support, calculating of caps for commercial properties updating systems, and contributing to smooth financial operations across the managed portfolio.

  • Candidates should possess skills in Accounting and Finance, including bookkeeping, invoice processing, and account reconciliation.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Credit Control, with the ability to monitor outstanding balances and follow up on payments professionally.
  • Candidates should possess skills in managing Petty Cash, including recording transactions and maintaining accurate cash balances.
  • Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues, clients, and contractors in a clear and professional manner.
  • Relevant experience in property or real estate finance, proficiency with accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel), and strong attention to detail are beneficial.
  • A qualification or training in accounting, finance, or a related field, and the ability to work reliably in an office environment with good organizational and time-management skills are required.
