Ascendion Account CTO/Technical Lead Opportunity

Ascendion is seeking a senior technical leader to serve as Account CTO/Technical Lead for our strategic client engagement. You will be the primary technical point of contact across all client interactions, owning solutioning strategy, leading technical engagement with senior stakeholders, and serving as the funnel through which Ascendion's full capability stack (AI, data, platform engineering, cloud) flows into the bank's strategic priorities.

You will sit alongside the Client Director and Head of Delivery as part of the core account leadership team, responsible for identifying, framing, and executing transformational technology opportunities across corporate banking - with particular depth in payments and liquidity offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead solutioning and technical strategy for all new opportunities and client conversations; be the senior technical voice in stakeholder rooms.
  • Engage directly with Client senior leadership (MD level and above) on strategic initiatives, demonstrating credibility, domain expertise, and thought leadership in corporate banking technology.
  • Own the technical funnel: translate client business problems into Ascendion capabilities; brief and coordinate with specialist teams (AI, data, platform) to shape proposals and delivery approach.
  • Spearhead pre-sales technical design, architecture reviews, and proof-of-concept framing alongside Client Direct.
  • Partner with Head of Delivery and embedded project teams to understand scope, execution status, and organic growth opportunities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
