Rockwell Automation – Territory Business Manager Location: South West, England

This role supports our mission to empower the world’s boldest ideas. Reporting to the Territory Manager, you will drive growth across Rockwell's full portfolio, expanding direct and indirect business through new logo acquisition and elevating underperforming accounts.

Based in the South West, you’ll halve the complexity of industry-specific solutions while fostering a "winning together" culture through strategic partnerships and customer relationships. Your focus? Demand creation, scaling the installed base, and acting as a bridge between Rockwell, customers, and partners.


Responsibilities

  • Account Growth: Develop and execute strategies to expand Rockwell Automation’s presence in the South West territory, with a focus on new logo acquisition.
  • Strategic Pursuits: Lead high-impact sales initiatives, aligning internal teams, channel partners, and domain experts to secure long-term, sustainable opportunities.
  • Account Development: Identify, qualify, and nurture low-value or underperforming accounts to maturity—preparing them for handover to distributor or dedicated Account Managers.
  • Partnership Enablement: Collaborate with distributor and partner sales teams, coaching them on high-value opportunities and reinforcing collaboration.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strategic relationships across C-suite (CEOs, Directors), EHS Managers, Operations Managers, Engineering Teams, and plant-level decision-makers.
  • Business Leadership: Position Rockwell as a trusted automation partner through end-to-end solutions, from initial pitch to implementation and beyond.

Ideal Candidate

The Essentials (Must-Haves)

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant technical discipline OR equivalent work experience differentiating prior education.
  • Commitment: Willingness to travel within the South West territory.
  • Licensing: Valid UK driver’s licence (eligible for Rockwell Company Car / Car Allowance).
  • Residency: Live within the South West territory.

The Preferred (Bonus Points)

  • Sales Leadership: Strong track record in strategic sales, relationship management, and cross-functional coaching.
  • Solution Selling: Experience selling industrial automation, IoT, or smart manufacturing solutions.
  • Account Growth: Proven ability to acquire new logos and develop emerging accounts, aligned with B2B industrial strategies.
  • Partner Collaboration: Experience working with distribution models, channel partners, or matrixed sales teams in ambiguous or high-growth markets.
  • Customer Dialogue: Ability to advise or contribute to customer business plans, automation roadmaps, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Decision Maker Engagement: Direct experience engaging C-suite, site leadership, EHS/Operations/Engineering teams to drive choices.
