The Role
Our new Account Director will take ownership of a key premium UK seafood retail account on a 12-month fixed-term contract, covering maternity leave. You’ll lead the relationship end-to-end, driving joint business plans, delivering volume growth, and optimising margin across the category.
Working closely with Category, Supply Chain and Finance, you’ll ensure continuity and momentum across the account, while identifying new opportunities to strengthen performance. This role suits an experienced commercial leader (e.g. SNAM, account lead or similar) who can quickly step in, build strong relationships, and deliver impact from day one.
Please note this is an office-based role, with frequent travel to other Sofina Sites and customer bases required.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Own and develop the relationship with premium seafood retail customers
- Lead and execute joint business plans to deliver volume growth and profitability
- Identify and unlock opportunities across the seafood category
- Maintain and build strong cross-functional alignment to ensure delivery of plans
- Negotiate effectively to deliver strong commercial outcomes
- Analyse market, customer, and supplier performance to identify risks and opportunities
- Oversee forecasting, pricing, and commercial governance with accuracy and discipline
- Ensure continuity and stability across the account during the FTC period

The Ideal Candidate
You will be an experienced commercial professional ready to step into a high-profile role:
- Proven experience in a senior commercial or account management role
- Strong experience managing a major UK retail account
- Background in FMCG, ideally within fresh, chilled, or seafood categories
- Skilled negotiator with the ability to influence at all levels
- Effective communicator with credibility and impact internally and externally
- Highly organised with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive and resilient, with a strong focus on delivering results
- Able to quickly build relationships and maintain business momentum
