Major Players Partners with B2B Marketing Agency for Account Director Recruitment

Major Players is collaborating with a well-regarded B2B marketing agency to fill the role of Account Director. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a rapidly growing global agency, renowned for its work with top-tier B2B tech brands. As Account Director, you will be instrumental in cultivating and leading senior client relationships across a portfolio of key accounts, facilitating the delivery of exceptional events and campaigns that contribute to the agency's sustained growth and commercial achievements. Your role will involve crafting and executing impactful B2B marketing and lead generation programs, ensuring alignment with client business objectives and delivering measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the main point of contact for key client accounts, ensuring alignment with business objectives and delivering long-term value.
  • Challenge Resolution: Act as the escalation point for complex client challenges, managing difficult conversations, and ensuring positive resolutions.
  • Strategic Account Planning: Develop strategic account plans that drive growth, pipeline, and long-term partnership value.
  • Program and Campaign Oversight: Oversee end-to-end program and campaign strategies, ensuring alignment with client goals and achieving measurable ROI.
  • Event and Campaign Excellence: Ensure the best-in-class delivery of events and integrated marketing campaigns, continuously improving standards and best practices.
  • Innovation and Improvement: Identify opportunities for innovation, new service offerings, and continuous improvement.
  • Commercial Performance: Be responsible for commercial delivery and performance across your client portfolio, ensuring profitability and effective margin management.
  • Financial Management: Ensure accurate forecasting, revenue recognition, and billing processes across the team.
  • Business Development: Lead on pitches, proposals, and RFP responses, as well as identifying and converting opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Sector Expertise: Work closely with business development leadership to drive growth across key accounts and maintain deep expertise in client sectors, broader B2B trends, and agency offerings.
  • Strategic Insights: Translate insights into strategic recommendations that drive client value and innovation.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing account teams, providing ongoing coaching and feedback to support professional development and retention.

Skills Required

  • Proven experience in leading accounts within a B2B marketing agency, preferably with tech clients.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including ownership of revenue and profitability management.
  • Previous experience in delivering strategic, large-scale programs of work, including multi-channel campaigns and events.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders in enterprise/technology-focused organizations.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, marketing automation tools, and project management software such as Monday.com.
  • Proven leadership experience in shaping long-term client strategies and influencing senior stakeholders.

Job Details

  • Hours: Full-time
  • Salary: £55,000-65,000 depending on experience
  • Office Location: Central East London
  • Office Requirements: 3 days per week in the office
