Job Title: Account Director

Location: Remote - UK travel

Salary: 55-60k

We're working with an independent healthcare communications agency that's built an outstanding reputation for combining strategic thinking with genuinely creative work. They're looking for an experienced Account Director to take ownership of key client relationships, lead a high-performing client services team and play a big part in the agency's continued growth. This is a role for someone who enjoys building partnerships, spotting opportunities, and making great work happen.

You'll be trusted to lead accounts commercially and strategically, working closely with creative, strategy and production teams to deliver campaigns that make a real impact.

What you'll be doing

  • Taking ownership of a portfolio of key healthcare accounts from both a strategic and commercial perspective.
  • Acting as the senior client lead, building long-term relationships based on trust and consistently high-quality delivery.
  • Leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time, on budget and to an exceptional standard.
  • Managing, mentoring, and developing Account Managers and Account Executives, helping them grow into confident client leaders.
  • Identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts through additional services and strategic recommendations.
  • Owning forecasting, budgeting, profitability and resource planning across your accounts.
  • Working closely with senior leadership to ensure commercial targets are achieved while maintaining outstanding client service.
  • Championing collaboration across the agency and contributing to a positive, ambitious culture.

What we're looking for

You'll probably already be operating at Account Director level within a creative, marketing or healthcare communications agency and be comfortable leading sizeable client accounts.

You'll ideally have experience with:

  • Agency-side client services.
  • Leading integrated marketing or creative campaigns from brief through to delivery.
  • Managing multiple high-value client accounts.
  • Financial forecasting, budgeting and commercial account management.
  • Mentoring and developing client services teams.
  • Building strong, long-term client partnerships.
  • Presenting confidently to senior stakeholders.
  • Writing clear creative briefs and collaborating closely with creative teams.

Healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical device or wellbeing sector experience would be advantageous, but we're also keen to hear from strong Account Directors from other agency backgrounds who can quickly get up to speed.
