Account Director – London Museum Security Contract
Vacancy Reference: 4889 Location: London Salary: £75,000 per annum Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time (Monday–Friday, 45 hrs/week) Closing Date: 17 July 2026
About the Role
We are seeking an exceptional Account Director to lead our high-profile security contract at the London Museum, one of the UK’s most iconic cultural institutions. This opportunity offers senior leadership to shape, influence, and deliver a best-in-class security service in a world-renowned setting.
As the Wilson James senior representative, you will:
- Take full ownership of operational excellence, client partnerships, financial performance, and continuous improvement
- Ensure a safe, seamless, and customer-focused security service
- Operate at the highest level, influencing strategy, leading teams, and making a genuine impact

Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across all aspects of the London Museum security contract
- Oversee security operations across multiple sites, exhibitions, and high-profile events
- Serve as the primary senior contact for the client, building trusted stakeholder relationships
- Ensure full compliance with contractual, legal, health & safety, and governance requirements
- Lead, inspire, and develop management teams, frontline officers, and event security personnel
- Drive financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and efficiency improvements
- Manage and mitigate security, safety, operational, and reputational risks
- Lead incident management and business continuity planning, ensuring resilience
- Deliver detailed performance reporting, KPIs, and strategic insights
- Champion innovation and continuous improvement to enhance service delivery and visitor experience

Requirements & Qualifications
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven senior leadership in security, cultural venues, or public-facing environments
- Full contract ownership experience (service delivery, finance, client satisfaction)
- Strong commercial & financial acumen (budgeting, cost efficiency)
- Ability to lead diverse teams across operational and event-based roles
- Exceptional stakeholder management and executive influence
- Security risk management, H&S, and compliance expertise
- Advanced reporting & presentation skills
- High-pressure resilience – decisive, calm under crisis
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking ability

Preferred Qualifications
- Valid SIA Licence (Door Supervisor or Close Protection desirable)
- First Aid, NEBOSH, or similar safety qualifications (appealing)
- Security Risk Management qualification or equivalent experience (advantageous)
