Account Director - 12 month FTC (likely to become a permanent role)

Overview
As a passionate Account Director that specialises in healthcare within a progressive micro-network agency, you will take ownership of key healthcare accounts, working closely with the Business Lead to drive commercial client growth, oversee integrated communication programmes that are compliant with industry regulations and act as a trusted advisor to clients, playing a key role in maintaining and developing client partnerships.
Responsibilities
We are seeking a passionate Account Director with healthcare advertising experience that can play a key role in the continued growth of the agency’s healthcare offering.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading and nurturing mid to Senior client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for key healthcare accounts, providing strategic direction and counsel to clients.
- Leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive the development and delivery of integrated communication programmes across multiple channels and international markets, ensuring alignment with client communication objectives.
- A clear understanding of the compliance requirements and client-specific approval processes from a medical, regulatory and legal standpoint, with the ability to ensure accuracy and adherence to guidelines, such as Veeva approval workflows.
- Alongside the Business Lead, oversee commercial performance, including forecasting, budgeting, profitability and revenue growth targets.
- Maintain clear visibility of multiple account activity, proactively identifying risks and challenges, working with the Business Lead to implement solutions before issues arise.
- Thrive in a dynamic environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities, while maintaining strong attention to detail and a consistently high standard of client service.

Required Skills
We are a progressive agency and encourage the use of AI Tools across our workflow. With the support of our innovation team, you should be proactive in leveraging technologies that assist the delivery of quality-driven work and services.
- Strong understanding of healthcare compliance, approval, and review processes, including experience working within regulated environments and using approval management systems such as Veeva PromoMats or equivalent platforms.
- Ability to manage budgets, forecasting and account profitability using financial reporting tools, to ensure the effective tracking and management of commercial performance.
- Strong understanding of integrated marketing and the campaign briefing processes, creative development workflows and cross-functional agency collaboration i.e. Strategy > Creative > Production.
- Experience leading geographically dispersed client stakeholders, using collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams and cloud-based document management systems.
- Advanced presentation skills, with the ability to story-tell when selling work into our clients, to develop compelling strategic and creative recommendations.
