Account Director at Smyly Media
Location: Hybrid (with an office space in London).
About Smyly Media
Smyly Media is a sports communications agency specialising in talent management, PR, content production, and commercial partnerships. While our expertise lies in horse racing, we also work across the wider sports industry, delivering creative campaigns and commercial opportunities that help clients stand out.
As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an Account Director to play a key role in the next chapter of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Commercial Management
- Manage relationships with a portfolio of clients.
- Identify sponsorship, ambassador, and commercial partnership opportunities.
- Build relationships with brands, agencies, rights holders, and key industry contacts.
- Help negotiate and deliver commercial partnerships.
- Develop partnership proposals and activation ideas.
- Identify opportunities to grow existing client relationships and support new business.

Content
- Work alongside our network of videographers and editors to produce industry-leading content across social, digital, and broadcast platforms.
- Develop creative content ideas.
- Plan and produce filming days.
- Attend shoots and help produce content on location.
- Brief videographers and editors.
- Review edits to ensure they meet a high standard.
- Maximise the output of content across multiple platforms.
PR & Communications
- Write press releases and media pitches.
- Build relationships with journalists and broadcasters.
- Identify proactive and reactive media opportunities.
- Support clients with strategic communications.
Social Media
- Help manage social channels for clients.
- Produce engaging copy for social media.
- Analyse performance.
- Identify trends and opportunities.
- Build engaged audiences.
About YOU
You’ll be someone who enjoys working with people, spotting opportunities, and making things happen. You’ll be equally comfortable talking to clients, planning content, attending shoots, and helping deliver projects and campaigns.

Ideal Experience
- Sports marketing, PR, or communications for a minimum of 5 years.
- Sponsorship or partnership management.
- Content production.
- Social media expertise.
- Client relationship management.
- Knowledge of horse racing is preferred.
