Account Director

Salary: Up to £80,000 Basic (£160,000 OTE)
Location: Reading / M4 Corridor (Hybrid – 3 Days per Week)

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Account Director to manage and develop a portfolio of existing customer accounts within a Microsoft-centric managed services environment. This role is centred around relationship management, strategic account planning and identifying opportunities to expand customer engagement across services, cloud solutions and digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and develop a portfolio of established client accounts.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Create and execute strategic account growth plans.
  • Drive customer retention and account expansion opportunities.
  • Lead regular customer reviews and roadmap discussions.
  • Collaborate with technical and service teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities across Microsoft cloud, managed services and professional services.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline reporting.

Essential

  • Proven success in a Senior Account Management or Account Director role.
  • Background within a Microsoft-focused MSP or IT services business.
  • Strong consultative sales and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to grow existing customer revenue.
  • Excellent commercial and negotiation capabilities.

Advantageous

  • Microsoft Cloud knowledge including Azure and Microsoft 365.
  • Experience managing large or complex customer environments.
  • Strong understanding of managed and professional services.
