🚀 Digital Account Director
📍 Location – Hybrid, Leeds – 2–3 days a week in the office
💰 Salary – Up to £60k, depending on experience
Lead the clients. Shape the thinking. Deliver digital work that makes a real difference.
We’re looking for a Digital Account Director to join a specialist agency working exclusively with financial services brands – including building societies, wealth managers, investment platforms and financial mutuals.
The agency helps traditional financial services organisations stay relevant to both long-standing customers and new, younger audiences. That means solving genuine business challenges through brand development, website design and build, and digital acquisition campaigns.
You’ll take the lead on client relationships and digital delivery, managing substantial website projects and acquisition campaigns from strategy through to execution. You’ll also support brand projects alongside the Strategy Director, with scope to take on more responsibility in this area over time.
This is a lean, capable team, so you won’t be sitting on the sidelines managing a process. You’ll be close to the work, confident sharing your point of view and trusted to keep clients and internal teams moving in the right direction.
What You’ll Be Doing
- 🤝 Leading client relationships – Become the main day-to-day contact for your accounts, building trust and taking ownership of the work.
- 💻 Managing website projects – Oversee delivery from discovery and UX through to design and build, keeping everything on time, on budget and up to standard.
- 📈 Delivering digital campaigns – Lead acquisition-focused projects across digital creative, paid media, channel planning and delivery.
- 🎨 Supporting brand development – Work alongside the Strategy Director to help clients define who they are, what they stand for and how they express it.
- 🧠 Contributing to strategy – Help shape recommendations and challenge the thinking, rather than simply managing delivery once decisions have been made.
- 👥 Bringing teams together – Work closely with creative, UX, technical and strategy specialists to make sure the right people are involved at the right time.
- 💡 Growing accounts – Spot opportunities where there’s more work to be done, an unnamed client need or potential to develop the relationship.
- 🎤 Supporting new business – Get involved in pitches where your project knowledge and client credibility can add value.
- 🤖 Exploring AI – Build your understanding of how AI is changing agency delivery and bring that thinking into your client work.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- 🎯 Enough commercial awareness to discuss scope, pricing, budgets and project profitability without needing hand-holding.
- 🎯 The ability to move comfortably between strategic thinking and hands-on delivery.
- 🎯 A genuine interest in the work itself – you’ll have opinions, ask questions and care about the quality of the output.
- 🎯 Some experience managing or mentoring others, alongside an appetite to do more of it.
