About the Role
You’ll lead high-impact research and intelligence projects across healthcare and pharma clients, specialising in secondary methodologies. This role demands expertise in social listening, media monitoring, and landscape analysis, with the ability to translate complex insights into actionable strategic recommendations.
Collaborating closely with both Edelman teams and clients, you’ll ensure research guides communications strategies, business priorities, and real-world decisions. While a deep healthcare and pharma expertise is essential, ideal candidates also possess cross-industry flexibility, digital agility, and AI-forward thinking.

Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver secondary research projects for healthcare and pharma clients, ensuring strategic, insightful, and commercially robust outcomes.
- Manage client relationships daily—facilitating client engagement, understanding needs, and identifying growth opportunities.
- Shape intelligence approaches for pitches, proposals, and live projects, selecting methodologies, tools, and output formats.
- Convert social listening, media trends, and landscape data into clear, compelling recommendations for clients.
- Oversee project delivery, budgets, and timelines, contributing to account profitability and high-quality execution.
- Mentor and develop junior team members, sharing best practices, AI tools, and methodologies across the team.
- Act as a flexible intelligence resource across other industries and sectors at Edelman where support is needed.
Key Requirements & Skills
Technical & Methodological Strengths
- Expertise in secondary research—measurement, influencer identification, benchmarking, trends analysis, crisis reporting.
- Proven ability to turn big data into actionable insights while keeping a client-focused outcome in mind.
- Digital fluency: grasp evolving tools (AI, analytics platforms, media monitoring) and how they foster higher value intelligence.
- Experience translating complex datasets into authoritative, concise deliverables.
