We are looking for an experienced, high-energy Account Director to drive new logo acquisition across Iberia. This is a pure hunter role, focused on building pipeline from the ground up in one of Europe's most dynamic connectivity and cloud markets, spanning Spain and Portugal.
The ideal candidate brings a deep network across the Iberian carrier, cloud, content, and neoscale ecosystem, and a proven ability to open doors, build relationships, and close complex infrastructure deals. You will sell Zayo's infrastructure both within Iberia and onward to our pan-European backbone owning the full sales cycle from prospecting to signature, and working closely with technical and commercial teams to deliver the right solution for each account.

Key responsibilities
Develop and execute a targeted new business strategy across the Iberian market, focusing on carriers, alt-nets, cloud providers, content platforms, and neoscale operators. Sell Zayo infrastructure both within Iberia and outbound to our European backbone — positioning wavelengths, IP transit, Ethernet PTP, dark fiber, and DDoS mitigation against the right opportunity. Identify, prospect, and engage high-value accounts leveraging your regional network, ecosystems , and event presence to build pipeline. Build relationships with technical and commercial decision-makers, network engineers, peering managers, CTOs, and procurement leads across ES and PT. Consistently deliver against new business targets through a disciplined, solution-led sales approach, managing pipeline hygiene, deal velocity, and accurate forecasting. Be active in the market, attending regional events, engaging the Iberian operator and hosting community, and maintaining a visible presence across Madrid, Barcelona, and Lisbon.

Qualifications
Proven track record in new business sales within carrier, cloud, content, or infrastructure segments, with a strong existing network across Iberia. Hands-on knowledge of optical transport, IP transit, Ethernet services, and/or dark fiber — able to hold credible technical conversations with network engineers and architects. PWN / private wavelength network experience is a strong plus. Deep familiarity with the Iberian telco and internet infrastructure landscape — ISPs, MNOs, alt-nets, CDNs, hyperscalers, OTT platforms, and GPU/neoscale operators active in ES and PT. Self-starter mentality, comfortable operating autonomously, building territory from scratch, and thriving in a fast-moving, growth-oriented environment. Fluent in Spanish and/or Portuguese, with business-level English. Based in Spain or Portugal, willing to travel regularly across the region.
