🚀 Account Director (For one of the UK's best kept agency secrets)

📍 Location: Hybrid – Manchester base, 3 days in office

📢 Reporting To: Managing Director

💰 Salary: Circa £45 to £50k depending on experience

This is a senior client-facing role for a strategic, relationship-driven pro who thrives on growing accounts and delivering standout work. You’ll be the trusted partner to clients, shaping marketing solutions, leading teams, and ensuring the agency continues to deliver impact across the Northwest and national sectors.

If you know how to build long-term partnerships, lead cross-functional teams, and spot opportunities for growth, this is your chance to step up and make your mark at the top table.

What You’ll Be Doing

Bonus points for multi-channel agency experience. Digital experience essential.

  • Client leadership – Own senior relationships across a portfolio of key clients, becoming their go-to strategic partner.
  • Strategic direction – Shape and present marketing strategies that align with client business goals and deliver measurable results.
  • Team leadership – Mentor and guide account managers and executives, ensuring work is delivered to the highest standard.
  • Commercial growth – Identify and unlock opportunities to grow accounts, ensuring profitability and long-term success.
  • Agency ambassador – Represent the agency at industry events, panels, and client presentations, flying the flag for our brand.
  • Celebrating success – Lead client reviews, share results, and ensure both clients and teams feel the wins.

What You’ll Bring To The Table

  • Proven account leadership experience – Ideally as an Account Director or Senior Account Manager within an agency environment.
  • Strategic thinker – Able to connect client objectives with smart, creative marketing solutions.
  • Strong relationship builder – Confident at C-suite level, skilled at managing complex stakeholders.
  • Team leader – Experience in motivating and mentoring account teams to deliver their best work.
  • Commercial acumen – You understand numbers, margins, and how to grow accounts sustainably.
  • Proactive & resilient – Calm under pressure, solutions-focused, and always driving things forward.
  • Digitally savvy – You’ll be experienced in delivering digital campaigns and websites.
