As an Account Director – Mid Market, you will be responsible for driving expansion and growth within SHL’s existing customer base. You will uncover opportunities for upsell and cross-sell, build strategic account plans, and work side by side with Customer Engagement Managers (CEMs) to deliver maximum customer value. Your role is about deepening relationships, strengthening SHL’s footprint, and turning satisfied customers into long-term, strategic partners.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive account strategies, including revenue growth, renewals, and solution adoption.
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships across the customer’s business, acting as a trusted advisor driving consistent value delivery and alignment with the customer’s priorities.
- Partner with CEMs to jointly manage accounts, splitting focus between retention and expansion.
- Navigate SHL’s product and service portfolio to match institutional needs, leveraging a consultative sales approach.
- Identify, qualify, and close upsell and cross-sell opportunities that increase customer lifetime value.
- Develop strategic account plans that align SHL offerings with customer priorities as well as outlining revenue opportunities, risk mitigation, and service delivery strategies.
- Lead QBRs and annual strategic reviews with customers, demonstrating SHL’s impact through data and insights.
- Report consistently on account health, opportunities, risks, and performance in Salesforce.

What We’re Looking For From You
- Fluent Italian and English language skills
- Proven experience in account management or complex solution sales
- Strong stakeholder management, C Suite relationship building and influencing
- Experience working with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred)
- Track record managing portfolio of accounts demonstrating strategic growth and client relationship building
- Exceptional communication, presentation and stakeholder management
- Consultative sales approach
You must hold the relevant right-to-work documentation for this UK based role.
