Account Director (Paid Media), Chelmsford / Hybrid – Up to £65K + Benefits

Ready to take the lead on major client relationships while helping shape the future of a growing agency? We're looking for an experienced Account Director to join a successful independent paid media marketing agency where you'll play a key role in driving client success, developing integrated media strategies and supporting the continued growth of the business.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially minded Account Director who enjoys building long-term client relationships, influencing strategy and leading high-performing campaigns. You'll work closely with senior leadership, mentoring junior team members while remaining hands-on in campaign planning and delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Acting as the senior strategic contact for a portfolio of key client accounts
  • Building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and identifying opportunities for account growth
  • Developing integrated, multi-channel media strategies aligned to client objectives
  • Leading campaign planning, performance reviews and strategic recommendations
  • Working closely with internal specialists to ensure campaigns are delivered to the highest standard
  • Managing account profitability, forecasting and commercial performance
  • Mentoring and developing junior members of the client services team
  • Contributing to the continued growth and success of the agency

Requirements

  • At least five years' experience within a paid media or performance marketing agency
  • A strong track record managing senior client relationships across multiple accounts
  • Broad knowledge of paid media, including Paid Search, Paid Social and Programmatic
  • Experience developing integrated media strategies and translating client objectives into successful campaigns
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience identifying opportunities for account growth
  • Previous mentoring or line management experience
  • Excellent presentation, communication and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach
  • Experience within an independent or SME agency would be advantageous
