Account Director – Public Affairs & Strategic Communications

Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: £55-70K basic (DOE)
Benefits: Bonus scheme, private healthcare, hybrid work pattern, regular team events, cycle-to-work programme, plus additional perks.

About My Client

My Client is a consultancy that brings together specialists from across the communications, public affairs and campaigning world to deliver meaningful impact for the organisations they support. For years, the team has earned a reputation for tackling complex challenges with creativity, strategic clarity and a collaborative mindset. The culture is deliberately flat-structured and team-focused. Everyone is encouraged to contribute ideas, ask questions and influence how work gets done. Openness and inclusion sit at the heart of how the business operates.

The Opportunity

My Client is looking for an Account Director to guide and deliver integrated public affairs and strategic communications programmes for a range of clients. You’ll work closely with Account Managers and Senior Account Managers to shape activity, set direction and ensure work is consistently aligned with client needs and commercial objectives. You will take ownership of a portfolio of accounts across Tech, Infrastructure, Energy and Higher Education, ensuring that teams are performing well, expectations are clear, KPIs are met and that the consultancy is demonstrably moving the needle for each client.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
