Account Director / Senior Account Manager

Full-time | Office-based | Cambridge

About the Role

At Honest Ideas, we’re a boutique, independent creative agency based on Cambridge’s Quayside. We deliver strategic and creative marketing solutions—from brand strategy, advertising, design, digital marketing, and websites—acting as an extension of our clients' teams while building lasting relationships.

Our client base (80% B2B) ranges from start-ups to international businesses. We’re looking for an Account Director or Senior Account Manager—someone who can bridge strategy and execution, manage projects, and nurture client relationships with the same passion we bring to our work.

This role offers real influence, meaningful projects, and the chance to shape an agency as it grows.

Responsibilities

Core Account Management

  • Serve as the primary client contact, building trust and understanding their goals, challenges, and opportunities
  • Lead client meetings, presentations, and strategy discussions with senior stakeholders
  • Foster lasting client relationships through proactive collaboration and problem-solving

Project Leadership

  • Oversee projects from briefing to delivery, ensuring they stay on time, budget, and scope
  • Write clear, strategic briefs for creative teams
  • Coordinate between clients, designers, developers, and external partners
  • Keep stakeholders informed while maintaining organisation and calm under pressure

Strategic Thinking & Execution

  • Develop marketing and brand strategies tailored to client needs
  • Facilitate discovery sessions, workshops, and strategic recommendations
  • Critical thinking: challenge briefs and push for better outcomes
  • Assist clients in making data-driven marketing decisions

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
