Contract: Full Time Location: London (Hybrid) Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Position Overview
Multi-award-winning managed hosted solution provider Base Media Cloud is seeking a Senior Account Director responsible for leading relationships with some of our largest Enterprise clients.
This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate looking to advance their career in the high-growth cloud and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) market. We are seeking an experienced and strategic Account Director to lead the partnerships with our largest global clients in the News Media, Brands, Media & Entertainment, and Creative Agencies sectors.
In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor and key partner to your client, responsible for:
- Deepening relationships across their organization
- Driving strategic initiatives
- Ensuring long-term business success
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including Sales, Marketing, and Customer Enablement—to ensure client needs align with business objectives.
Your role will also focus on:
- Identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities
- Developing tailored strategies aligned with customer objectives
- Ensuring a seamless and positive customer experience throughout the account lifecycle
Monitoring account health, proactively addressing potential issues, and driving initiatives that enhance satisfaction, loyalty, and retention will be core to your responsibilities. By fostering strong, value-driven partnerships, you will contribute directly to the growth and success of both your clients and Base Media Cloud.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the global strategic lead for core enterprise clients, overseeing all aspects of the relationship across regions and business units
- Build and maintain executive-level global relationships, becoming a trusted advisor aligned with the client’s long-term goals and digital transformation initiatives
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive global account plan, including:
- Stakeholder mapping
- Growth targets
- Risk mitigation strategies
- Regional expansion opportunities
- Serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring:
- Seamless communication
- Effective issue resolution
- High levels of service excellence
- Ensure operational excellence and delivery alignment across territories, including:
- Proactive management of escalations
- Contractual obligations
- Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Lead strategic business reviews and executive briefings, travelling as required to provide insights, data, and recommendations that support evolving client needs and measure mutual success
- Direct and coordinate Customer Enablement Resources to ensure:
- High-quality onboarding
- Effective service training aligned with client needs
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including:
- Global upsell initiatives
- Cross-sell opportunities
- Innovation projects focused on long-term value creation
- Negotiate complex, multi-region agreements and renewals, ensuring commercially beneficial outcomes for both parties

Required Skills and Attributes
- Proven track record as an Account Director
- Experience managing large, high-value accounts with multi-regional presence, ideally in SaaS, cloud services, or technology
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to:
- Quickly learn and articulate technical concepts
- Communicate them effectively to diverse stakeholders
- Experience leading complex client negotiations, renewals, and service agreements
- Deep understanding of the media technology landscape, including the ability to effectively communicate the value of our solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including:
- Building rapport with key executives and stakeholders
- Simplifying accurate technical concepts
- Resolving conflicts and misunderstandings constructively
- Strategic thinking and ability to:
- Identify opportunities for growth
- Develop creative solutions
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic, capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including:
- Identifying issues and requirements
- Proactively delivering tailored solutions
