Account Director/Senior Account Director – Broadcast PR

Location: Remote-first, ideally London/South East based

Salary: Circa £55,000 depending on experience

Contract: Full-time, permanent

About Be Broadcast

Be Broadcast is an award-winning specialist broadcast PR agency helping brands, charities, organisations and experts get their stories onto media where it matters for their objectives, using a broadcast first approach.

From national news campaigns and research-led stories to expert interviews, case studies and regional broadcast opportunities, we specialise in creating stories that work for broadcasters.

As a growing agency, we combine the agility of a specialist consultancy with the ambition to become the UK's leading broadcast PR agency. Our team works directly with clients to deliver campaigns that create genuine media impact across the UK's biggest broadcasters.

About the role

We're looking for a Senior Account Director to join our growing agency.

This is a senior role for someone who can confidently lead client accounts, shape strong media strategies and stay hands-on with delivery. We're looking for someone who understands what makes a story work, builds trusted relationships with clients and media, and is excited by growing both client accounts and the agency.

Alongside delivering outstanding campaigns, you'll play a key role in generating revenue through client retention, account growth and supporting new business. You'll be someone who enjoys spotting opportunities, adding value for clients and helping shape the future of the agency.

This is a remote-first role with a high level of autonomy, trust and flexibility. It will suit someone who wants to keep doing brilliant work without the traditional office-first agency structure.

The role would suit an experienced PR agency professional who still loves the work but wants more ownership, less process and the opportunity to make a genuine impact within a growing specialist agency.

The role

As Senior Account Director, you'll lead a portfolio of client accounts and act as the trusted senior contact for clients, spokespeople and the internal team.

You'll be responsible for shaping campaign strategy, spotting strong media angles, guiding delivery and ensuring the work is commercially sound, creatively strong and designed to deliver results.

This isn't a role for someone who only wants to oversee from a distance. We're looking for someone who can provide senior counsel, manage clients and support the team, while still enjoying getting involved in the day-to-day work when needed.

You'll also play an important commercial role within the agency, helping grow existing accounts, identify new opportunities and contribute to winning new business.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead a portfolio of client accounts, acting as the senior day-to-day contact and ensuring campaigns are delivered to an exceptional standard.
  • Develop PR strategies that turn research, case studies, expert commentary and client messages into compelling media opportunities.
  • Spot newsworthy angles and shape strong pitches that work across TV, radio, podcasts and relevant online media.
  • Build and maintain relationships with producers, planning desks, journalists and broadcast contacts, while continually developing new media relationships.
  • Oversee campaign delivery from planning through to reporting, ensuring activity stays on brief, on time and commercially effective.
  • Write and oversee high-quality PR materials, including media advisories, pitches, press releases, spokesperson briefing documents, client updates and campaign reports.
  • Advise clients with confidence, including challenging briefs, managing expectations and explaining what will and won't work for broadcast.
  • Support the development of junior team members, helping strengthen their media judgement, writing, client handling and campaign delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts through additional campaigns, services and strategic ideas.
  • Take an active role in new business, including networking, proposals, pitch documents, chemistry meetings and campaign recommendations.
  • Build long-term client relationships that drive retention, referrals and recurring revenue.
  • Keep a close eye on account profitability, budgets, time and resource to ensure accounts remain commercially healthy.
  • Contribute ideas that help Be Broadcast grow, whether that's new services, new sectors or new revenue opportunities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Excellent client handling skills, with the confidence to advise senior stakeholders and become a trusted partner.
  • A strong understanding of what makes a story interesting, timely and relevant to the media.
  • Good instinct for news and a strong understanding of what works across TV, radio, podcasts and interview-led media.
  • Excellent organisation and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines simultaneously.
  • A proactive, self-starting approach and the confidence to work independently.
  • Strong commercial awareness, including budgets, profitability, client growth and protecting the value of your time.

  • Build trusted, long-term client relationships.
  • Deliver campaigns that consistently exceed expectations.
  • Grow the value of your client portfolio through proactive ideas and additional opportunities.
  • Contribute to winning new clients and supporting agency growth.
  • Help develop the team and raise standards across the business.
  • Play an active role in helping Be Broadcast achieve its commercial ambitions.

You might be someone who has worked hard in agency life for years and still loves PR, clients, media and campaigns, but no longer wants the traditional set-up.

You'll enjoy having autonomy, being trusted to get on with things and being part of a smaller team where your work genuinely matters.

You'll be senior enough to lead accounts and give clear advice, but still hands-on enough to care about the quality of a pitch, the strength of an angle and whether a campaign is genuinely going to land.

You'll enjoy building relationships, spotting commercial opportunities and helping grow the agency as well as delivering brilliant work for clients.

You'll be commercially aware, but not corporate. Creative, but practical. Confident, but collaborative. And you'll understand that in a growing specialist agency, everyone contributes to both the work and the future of the business.

You’ll have passions and experience you can bring into the work. You’ll have tangible experience that you can apply to client work.

You do not have to be a broadcast media professional – i.e. worked in another broadcast agency.

We’re really looking for someone with spice that can digest the skills.

Why join Be Broadcast?

  • Help shape a growing agency. This is a senior role where your ideas, judgement and experience will influence how we work and where we go next.
  • Work on campaigns that become part of the national conversation. You'll work with clients including Yorkshire Building Society, Check Point, Uswitch and Sport England, helping land stories across the UK's biggest broadcasters and turning news, research and expert insight into national conversations.
  • Have genuine commercial influence. You'll have the opportunity to grow client relationships, win new business and directly contribute to the success of the agency.
  • Remote first, built on trust. We believe great people don't need micromanaging. You'll have the flexibility to work where you're most productive while staying connected with clients and the team.
  • Stay close to the work. We value senior people who still enjoy the craft of PR, from shaping campaign strategy through to landing brilliant media opportunities.
  • Work alongside broadcast specialists. We're a specialist broadcast PR agency, not a generalist agency with a broadcast department. Everything we do is focused on helping clients succeed on air.
  • Make a visible impact. In a smaller agency there are no unnecessary layers. You'll be close to clients, close to decisions and able to see the difference your work makes.
  • Grow with us. As Be Broadcast continues to expand, you'll have opportunities to shape your role, influence standards and contribute to the agency's future.
  • Unlimited annual leave. We trust our people to manage their time responsibly. Take the time you need to rest, recharge and spend with the people who matter most.
  • Continuous professional development. We'll support your ongoing learning through training, mentoring and professional development opportunities.
  • Birthday off. Enjoy an extra day's leave to celebrate your birthday.
